America Experiences Christmas In the Black

Black, not red is what retailers are seeing this Christmas season and it comes as a surprise to everyone. Even as unemployment rises and the economic forecast looks its most drab in years consumers are still going out and hitting their local mall in an effort to find the best deal possible. As a result the US dollar is rising slightly against other majors, those on the forex currency exchange should stay alert of these developments. As time moves along the dollar will inevitably correct itself since the recent spike in purchasing activity on the part of the American people was due mostly to recklessness and a prolonged period of saving.

While purchases of relatively small ticket items rose the price of larger items such as automobiles fell sharply causing a decrease in the market overall. This has had an enormous impact on sales figures when compared to last year’s sales, however last year’s sales are still far lower than this. Popular opinion on the subject is that people are fed up with a failing economy and are spending because they do not want to acknowledge their financial situation.

This whole situation leads many to believe that many, many Americans will be experiencing mounting financial problems as time goes on due to reckless spending. It is anyone’s guess as to where the American economy is headed, however the road to success will certainly a great deal of spending on the part of the American people. Without demand there is no need for supply.
